STRATA BY JONATHAN MICHAEL RAY

£12.00

Our new publication Strata is now available -

‍ ‍

"Strata, a photographic work created by artist Jonathan Michael Ray during a month-long residency in Orkney, holds mysterious traces. Porous layers of ruin and residue appear to mingle, redistribute, and resonate through shadowy forms and fractured spaces. Created from multiple exposures of black-and-white film, Strata disorients; disrupts familiar ways of looking and troubles the senses. It is this troubling nature that feels urgent in our time of predicament.”

Except taken from ‘Strata; In crystal time,’ a  commissioned essay by Elizabeth Perrotte, which will accompany the exhibition within a new photobook, created by TONER.

Edition of 100
