"I made Wind/바람 a long time ago now. It tells a story from a past life of mine. A story of distant beginnings, a chance meeting, a love that rooted deeply, and the special experience of your best friend sharing a precious piece of their life with you. I wanted to show people what that felt like; the warm summer breeze, cool mountain streams, rainstorms on hot nights, clear blue skies.
The story didn’t end how I’d hoped, there was the grief of loss, the years adrift, and eventually healing. Just a very small part of this story became Wind/바람. 바람 (“Pa-ram”) - The word for Wind in Korean has a similar meaning to hopeful aspiration, which I felt encapsulated love and connection in a way. I was and will always be grateful for that connection we made, all those years ago."
